James 2:18 – “Show me your faith without deeds and I will show you my faith by what I do.”
LIVE your faith and ACT out of it. Proverbs 20:11 tells us that even a child is known by their actions, and, as a teacher, I can tell you that this is DEFINITELY true. How much more are we, as adults and, moreover, Christians, known by our actions? The world defines us by what we do, how we act, and whether we live out the love espoused by the faith we purport to hold.
Can people tell I am a Christian, that we are Christians, by our love? Can God tell that I am His by my actions? I want this to be the case. I want people to see God’s love by what I do for others. I want God to be visible in me.
Love is the pillar of the Christian faith. Love does not simply come through prayer and wishes. Love comes through actions, from what we DO. God will not do everything. We have hands and feet and tongues and hearts for a reason! We are here to help others, to love them through our actions, to show God in our lives.
“To be good in the eyes of The Lord, you have to DO good, DO what’s right. Your faith might save you but your faith ALONE will not be a good message for the world. It needs your actions as well.” – Ben Snyder, Pastor
