Overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit

Guest Speaker: Pat Byers

How long has it been since you’ve been overwhelmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit? How has He led you to use what you have to further His kingdom?

Ruth 1:16-18

Ruth was committed that she would make her home with and care for Naomi. That relationship was home for her, and God blessed it. She traveled miles away from her homeland and worked amongst strangers in order to be with the woman whom she saw as and called ‘mother’. She was committed to her relationship with Naomi to such a point that she declared, “Where you go, I will go. where you stay, I will stay. Your people shall be my people and your God shall be my God.”636aefb3b6ba75e4d471771177ee2c9f

God used Ruth’s committment, her faith, to build up and bless her family. He provided a means of sustenance for her and Noami and brought her together with a man of God for a husband and prosperity for her family. Her love and faith set her apart from others and was used mightily.

Acts 2:42-47 – In all we do as a church, as a fatih community, we have an ultimate goal: to share with and show God to those who have not heard, do not know, or have been turned away from God. He can use us to make inroads in the lives of others and bless them in His name. May we allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by His Spirit and to trust His guidance as we live our lives and live out our faith in Him.
