The Greatest Commandments

Mark 12:12-34

So often in our present day, frustration grows exponentially in situations that involve religion and the law, RFRA being a recent prime example. Few things will make people fight harder or dirtier. In that, though, we also seem to forget that we are, first and formost, called to love God and each other. There is no law again love. Love for God, Christ’s love for us, or our love for others. Ultimately, that is what we are called to do: love.

Christ lived the example He expected us to follow – He heeded the moving of the Holy Spirit, He loved and obeyed God, and showed love and compassion for others. The greatest commandments.
