Scripture: John 3:1-21
There are so many in the world who want change to happen but don’t want to change themselves.
God has already made the most important change in the world by sending Jesus. It is us now who need to change, accept, repent and live.
We will not see the kingdom of God unless we are born again. Nor will anyone else be able to see the kingdom of God unless we are born again. We display God’s kingdom, God’s character and show it to others, but only if we have made that change ourselves.
We cannot make the changes we need in the world with purely physical actions. There needs to be a heart change as well that is then lived out in action.
Christ came to change hearts, not the establishment. By bringing change to individual lives, he changed the society he inhabited. It only takes a few people to make significant change.
Change starts from within. We cannot change others but we can tell/show others how God has changed us.
God does not have work on a grand scale of achievement. That is why we are here. The changes that God brings out in our lives we must then live out and our actions feed into and fan out in wider and wider circles. We work within the world frame in which we have been placed and therefore, with God’s help, can affect change within that frame for the better.
I am not perfect. You are not perfect. God is still working on us.
Christ can work betterment in me (and you) for the betterment of all. His work is a deep heart-work, from the inside out.
