And It Was Good

Scriptures: Genesis 1:1-2:3

Everything–EVERYTHING–on this planet God called “good”. There something good in everyone and everything.

A steward does not have ownership of what they have. It’s been given to them in trust to foster for the future. We are stewards upon this earth, of its resources, its gifts, and its inhabitants.

Have we forgotten that helping/serving meaningfully necessitates worldly action? Just talking doesn’t help. Love is something we do, not merely something we feel, after all. If we go to those who are physically starving and don’t help them to eat, we have gutted our testimony about a loving God.

We are stewards of Creation and that includes the people around us, in our lives and communities. We are stewards of what and who God has given us. He has called it/them “good” and we have a responsibility to them.We acknowledge the beauty and belovedness of all people to God but, then, we tear those beloved people to shreds through disapproval, judgement, and gossip. These pople ARE beloved of God; we should remember that treat them as such.

Unfortunately, we often acknowledge the beauty and belovedness of all people to God but, then, we tear those beloved people to shreds through disapproval, judgement, and gossip. These people ARE beloved of God; we should remember that treat them as such.

We have a responsibility to pay attention to what is happening to God’s world and do our best to care for it and His people.
