Accepting the Invitation

Scripture: Matthew 22:1-21

We need to not forget that we are children of our Heavenly Father and therefore citizens of a holy nation. The loving invitation has been extended to all.

In Matthew, the man without wedding clothes who was cast out into the night represents those who have not sought salvation, who pay lip service but do not live in faith. Cultural Christianity does not equal a living faith, so everyone is invited but not everyone truly accepts the invitation.

Grace is that God invites everyone. Truth is that we have to meet God in forgiveness and salvation.

It is by grace we are called but, unfortunately, not all accept the calling. We need to be sure that we are not only accepting the invitation to the wedding but that we are dressed for the occasion.
