Christ’s Invitation: “Come.”

Scripture: John 1:35-51

To those who approached Him, Jesus invited them, “Come. Come and see.” We are invited to come and see what a life with and for Christ is all about.

“What do you want? What are you looking for?” –> This is what Jesus is asking us. What is it that we want from Him? What are we looking for in Him?

One of the first words/commands we hear from Jesus is, “Come and see.” Not “go and preach”, but “come and see”. We are told to come to Him, to spend time with Him, to learn from Him, before we run off.

The first people to spend time with Him then went and told others likewise to come and see, for what they had found in Jesus utterly convinced them that they “had found the Messiah”.

Jesus extends an eternal invitation for us to come. Come to Him, come be with Him, come learn from Him.
